• Rabeprazole sodium 20 mg
• Levosulpiride 75 mg

DESCRIPTION

Rabeprazole is a rapid-acting proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Rabeprazole is a substituted benzimidazole that suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the gastric H+/ K+ ATPase at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. This enzyme is regarded as the acid (proton) pump within the parietal cell. Rabeprazole blocks the final step of gastric acid secretion.

Levosulpiride is more selective and acts primarily as a dopamine D2 antagonist. It is also a moderate agonist at 5-HT receptors. Its 5-HT4 component may enhance its therapeutic efficacy in GI disorders. This property together with antagonism at the D2 receptor may contribute to its GI prokinetic effect.
