GACITOR Injection (Pantoprazole Injection)

It helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Pantoprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). The injection form of this drug is used for a short time when you cannot take the medication by mouth.

  • In Patients With endoscopically induced hemostasis, pantoprazole continuous infusion is superior to somatostatin to prevent bleeding recurrence
  • Acid Suppressive Therapy in the upper gastrointestinal bleeding reduces the frequency of rebleeding, need for surgery, transfusion requirement and length of hospital stay
  • Significantly elevates gastric PH levels, thus relieves from GERD associated symptoms, including regurgitation
  • Beneficial in producing complete heartburn relief & healing of erosive esophagitis
  • Beneficial in preventing the gastroduodenal damage in elderly H. pylori positive NSAID users
